
Renae Sieck grew up on a farm near Crete, Nebraska where her family raises Maine-Anjou show cattle. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in animal science. During this time she served as an FFA State Officer, was Second Vice-President of the Sigma Alpha- Alpha Delta Chapter, and was a member and coach of the Meats Judging team. She then stayed at UNL to complete a master’s degree in animal breeding and genetics where her research focused on inherited disease and muscle physiology of beef cattle. She is now a professional services embryologist at Trans Ova Genetics. In this role she works with cattle producers to use embryo transfer as a tool to advance the genetic success of their herd.
