Key Speaker Highlights

Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry of Virginia

We kicked off Convention with energy, intention, and inspiration. It began with a big welcome to keynote speaker from the Virginia Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry, Matthew Lohr. Then, Executive Director, Kelly Horton, lead attendees to explore the new Pillar Framework and it’s Essential Elements-tools designed to elevate chapter excellence, foster member development, and steward our shared legacy.

Agricultural Industry Panel of Professionals

This dynamic panel discussion featured agricultural industry professionals who’ve carved out impactful, authentic career journeys. With guided questions from the moderator and an open forum for audience Q&A, this session explored how to lead with confidence, seize opportunities, and navigate the twists and turns of professional growth in agriculture. Attendees gained insight, inspiration, and practical advice from those who’ve made boss moves-whether in boardrooms or clinic or crop fields.

Andrea Flemming at the Emerald Banquet

This event marked the grand finale of the 2025 Sigma Alpha National Convention – a night that was dedicated to celebration, reflection, and recognition. With grace, pride, and joy, we closed the convention by lifting up the excellence that will inspire generations to come. Andrea Flemming is a 5th generation farmer and entrepreneur from Southwest Minnesota. She bravely shared her story in agriculture to bridge the gap and empower other women to live authentically.
