Individual and Chapter Awards
The Sigma Alpha Sorority National Awards program recognizes outstanding achievements and dedicated leadership of individual sisters and chapters. The program creates opportunities for chapters to spotlight their successful programs, share the impact they are having in communities, and recognize members who uphold the pillars of the organization. Award recipients are chosen based on the evaluation of required chapter/member reports, specific applications, and/or live presentations held during the Sorority’s annual national events. Chapters are encouraged to review the criteria and deadlines for each award, along with past award recipients below, and start their applications today!
Regional Pillar Awards
Regional pillar awards are determined from an in-depth review of each chapter’s timely term report submission. Alumnae judges review the report against specified criteria and a rubric to determine the top 3 finalists from each region for each of the four pillars. This year, the first-place pillar chapter from each region is invited to present the chapter’s program to a panel of alumnae and corporate partner judges. The scores from the live presentation will be combined with the scores from the written term report evaluation to determine the national finalists for each of the four pillars.
