2022 National Conclave
St. Paul, MN
July 29-31, 2022
In 2016, Sigma Alpha Sorority moved to hold its National Convention on a biennial basis and to hold a National Conclave in the years in which there is no National Convention. Conclave was help in Dallas, TX in 2016 and 2018, but due to COVID-19 was held virtually in 2020. The Sigma Alpha National Sorority Board is pleased to announce that Conclave 2022 will be held in-person.
Program Design & Purpose
The National Conclave is designed as a concentrated leadership development session for collegiate and alumnae leaders. Chapter delegates will network with other sisters, national leadership team members and sorority staff to:
- Identify sorority priorities
- Develop policies
- Impact programs within the national organization
Delegates will have the opportunity to examine current policies and procedures, elect new national leaders and direct the priorities of the national organization. Sisters will work within national committees and focus on issues, programs and situations affecting both collegiate and alumnae members. Through this committee work, recommendations will be presented to the national leadership team for action and implementation.
Who Can Attend?
Attendance at the Sigma Alpha National Conclave is limited to one Voting Delegate (required for collegiate chapters) and one Alternate Delegate (optional) per collegiate and alumnae chapter. Chapters must be in good standing with the National Sorority to be eligible to vote during the National Congress. Chapter advisors are also encouraged to attend.
How Do Chapters Select Their Delegates?
Chapters should select a delegate according to the process outlined in its chapter bylaws. In addition to being a sister who is interested in further investing in herself, her chapter and her sorority, the ideal delegate should:
- Be active within chapter activities.
- Currently hold (or hold in the coming year) a leadership position.
- Remain in the chapter for at least two semesters or three quarters post-Conclave (collegiate delegates only).
The sister or sisters selected to represent your chapter should be willing to partake in the decision-making process within the national sorority, to represent the best interest of her chapter and to share with her chapter what she learned.

LEARNING TO FLY – LESSONS FROM THE AIR: Embracing Change, Managing Risk and Fear
In today’s ever changing world, businesses and individuals are faced with a constant stream of information, choices and change. The traditional pathways to success are also changing, as are perceptions of risk, sustainability and achievement.
Extreme experiences are a compelling metaphor for life and work. Steph speaks on the lessons she’s learned in the mountains and in the air as a professional climber and wingsuit pilot, and in choosing a highly nontraditional career path.
