4-H is a community of 6 million young people across America learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. The 4-H community also includes 3,500 staff, 518,000 volunteers and 60 million alumni. 4-H'ers participate in fun, hands-on learning activities, supported by the latest research of land-grant universities, that are focused on three areas: Science, Engineering and Technology; Healthy Living; and Citizenship. The foundation of our community lies within the 106 land-grant universities across the country that deliver research driven programs through Extension agents in each of the more than 3,000 counties. The 4-H leadership builds on the strength of our state and local professionals in partnership with the National 4-H Headquarters.

Agriculture in the Classroom is a grassroots program coordinated by the United States Department of Agriculture. Its goal is to help students gain a greater awareness of the role of agriculture in the economy and society, so that they may become citizens who support wise agricultural policies. Ag in the Classroom is Sigma Alpha’s National Philanthropy project so it is required to complete an activity yearly.

American Agri-Women is the national coalition of farm, ranch, and agribusiness women's organizations. It is an organization serving as a communications link for those who join the coalition. Members work on national issues of mutual interest and concern. A national convention is held annually to discuss and take action on those concerns. By working together effectively, American Agri-Women can magnify its political influence and members can educate consumers and school children as to the needs of agriculture. American Agri-Women works in areas of legislation, regulations, consumer relations, promotion, and education. Many are consumers as well as producers and have a unique point of view to offer.
