Chapter "Take Home" Sessions Needed - Apply Now!
Willing to share your successful event with other chapters? The 2010 National Convention will feature Chapter "Take Home" Sessions for chapters to present their new & successful event with others. Chapter “Take Home” Sessions have been created for chapters to learn from one another based on specific chapter fundamentals. A proposed presentation will be presented in two, 25-minute small group sessions where a chapter activity or event is presented, in detail, so that other chapters may learn, take, and introduce the activity to their home chapter as a potential event. The Chapter "Take Home" Session Applications are due August 15th, 2010. Chapters willing to share their events are eligible for up to 3 Founder's Cup points!

Ever wish that National Convention was in your region?  Here's your shot!
Sigma Alpha National Board is excited to announce that alumni and collegiate groups will now have the opportunity to propose site locations for the 2012 National Convention.  Proposing a site is easy, just complete the 2012 Convention Site Proposal Form and submit your completed site proposal electronically to document@sigmaalpha.org, by August 1st, 2010. Groups are asked to provide information on possible hotels, tours, and local agribusinesses. However, groups are asked not to contact hotels for rate negotiations or menu selection, the convention committee will handle the dirty work! Once proposals are received, the Convention Committee will narrow the search down to three locations, which will be voted on during the 2010 National Chapter Congress, held during National Convention. The top three groups making proposals will have the opportunity to make a brief “sales pitch” on their location during Founder’s Breakfast.

Take a chance and showcase your region! Please direct all questions to courtneyp@sigmaalpha.org or sarasparks@sigmaalpha.org.
